Areas of Operation

Energy Corporation of America (ECA) is headquartered in Charleston, West Virginia with offices scattered throughout Appalachia and operations across the nation.  Established in 1996, the ECA Foundation is in Denver, Colorado.

The company began its operations in the Appalachian Basin, where it has been active there for more than 50 years. With more than 900,000 acres in North America, ECA operates more than 4,400 wells and 5,000 miles of pipeline.

ECA has more than 1,500 distinct well locations amounting to more than 15 TCF of resource base and 550 BCF of proved reserves. The company also has the capability to transport more than 500 mmcf/d through multiple pipeline systems. In the past five years, ECA has operated multiple-rig drilling programs and pioneered industry-changing completion techniques to further maximize the ultimate recoveries from our properties.

In addition to the vast Marcellus opportunities available, ECA also holds leases by production across a number of other unconventional horizons throughout the Appalachian Basin and is currently exploring options to drill and produce in these areas.
